Retired Coast Guard Cmdr. William Moeller spoke to members of the local community and recruits at the Ida Lewis Auditorium at the Coast Guard Training Center in Cape May, N.J., July 13, the U.S. Coast Guard said.
Moeller provided his first-hand account of the 1991 rescue of an Air National Guard helicopter crew featured in Sebastian Junger's book, The Perfect Storm.
