Nikkiso to Provide 16 Motor Pumps for German LNG Terminal

Nikkiso Clean Energy & Industrial Gases Group (Nikkiso CE&IG) has announced it has secured a contract with CS Gas North to provide 16 submerged motor pumps for German LNG Terminal in Brunsbüttel. 

Nikkiso CE&IG is manufacturing high-pressure, low-pressure and ship-loading pumps for the project, which is being built by German LNG Terminal GmbH and scheduled to be operational in 2027.

The terminal includes two LNG tanks, each with a capacity of 165,000 cubic meters, and once operational will have the capacity to send 10 billion cubic meters of gas into Germany’s national grid every year. The project is built around infrastructure for liquefied natural gas (LNG), bio LNG and synthetic natural gas (SNG), but is also designed to enable the transition to even lower-carbon fuel alternatives like hydrogen in the future.

The award of the contract with CS Gas North S.L follows a similar contract for the Hanseatic Energy Hub in Stade, where Nikkiso CE&IG is supplying 20 low-pressure and nine high-pressure pumps for Germany's largest land-based terminal for liquefied gases.
