NAO Names Executive Vice Chair

On June 1st 2016, Ms Marianne Lie assumed the position of Executive Vice Chair of Nordic American Tankers Limited (NAO). 

Prior to this Ms Lie had served as the non-executive Vice Chair of NAO since the end of 2013, shortly after NAO was established.

Tor-Oivind Bjorkli, Managing Director of NAO, now reports to Ms Lie, who has a wealth of offshore energy experience in the main markets of NAO, above all in the British and Norwegian sector of the North Sea. Having studied law and sociology at the University of Oslo, she has served on the boards of large energy companies in Finland and Sweden and has spent close to 20 years in the Norwegian Shipowners' Association, including seven years as its CEO. She also serves as an advisor to Nordic American Tankers Limited. In her new role, Ms Lie continues to report to Herbjorn Hansson, the Chairman of NAO.
