Senior Liverpool Football Club (LFC) members will be present at this invitation only reception designed to showcase the amazing opportunities that exist for doing business with one of the Worlds’ most iconic port cities.

LFC will also be bringing the European Cup which the club won outright after winning the competition for the fifth time in 2005.

Called ‘Mersey-On-The-Thames’ the event, hosted by leading law firm DWF at the iconic Walkie Talkie Building, and joined by major Mersey Maritime members including Peel Ports Group, LFC and Liverpool John Moores University, will celebrate Liverpool’s first rate credentials as a maritime city that is ‘Open for Business.’

Mersey Maritime, together with key partners Peel Group and Liverpool John Moores University will make a major announcement during the course of the evening.

Look out for further updates in the coming weeks confirming the attendance of special VIP guests, including a ministerial presence.

Chris Shirling-Rooke, Mersey Maritime’s Acting CEO, commented: “Being a part of LISW15 is very exciting for Mersey Maritime and its members. It gives us the opportunity to promote the vast range of maritime businesses on Merseyside and the great work being done in the region.

“With so many influential people from the maritime sector and key government departments attending LISW15, it gives us a unique chance to remind people of the incredible benefits of doing business with our members while at the same time positioning the Liverpool City region as a major maritime centre capable of competing on a global scale,” he continued.
