CSL Makes Key Appointment

A leading North-east project services, engineering and consultancy firm has expanded its team with the addition of a key appointment as part of its long term growth strategy.

Aberdeen based, CSL, located at Geo House on Commerce Street has appointed Iain Fullerton as Business Development Manager – Subsea Engineering and Projects, to assist with the firm’s five-year growth and development plan bringing both new and enhanced services to clients.

CSL, which was established in 2000, has invested a great deal into expanding its team and core services in the last year with the introduction of new divisions including, technical consulting, subsea support services, resources, dive audit and training to complement its already established range of services.

Mr Fullerton brings a wealth of knowledge and more than 30 years’ experience within the oil and gas and offshore industry having held various business development and sales and marketing roles for leading organizations within the oil and gas and marine manufacturing sector. He said: “I am very pleased to be joining CSL in this important role. It is great to be part of a company with a strong vision, clear direction and a comprehensive service offering to the market.”

The firm which currently employs 40 members of staff at its Commerce Street location as well as 150 offshore and onshore based contractors welcomed a new management team earlier in the year also brought in to accommodate the growth and development of the organisation.

Operations/Engineering Manager for CSL, Jonathan Lindsay, said: “CSL has grown rapidly in the last year and Iain joins the team at a busy time for the organization. Iain is a great addition to the team and brings a vast amount of knowledge of the oil and gas and renewable markets as well as being well-known and well-networked with contacts not only in the North-east but worldwide.”

CSL specialises in a range of services for the energy sector including engineering lifecycle services from initial concept through to execution including FEED/detailed engineering through to decommissioning. Specialist consultancy and management placement services, subsea support services providing construction and inspection support through the provision of offshore client representatives, inspection and ROV personnel and resourcing solutions.
