Liquid Robotics hires key Silicon Valley sales executive to fuel next stage of growth, Gary Gysin to lead global sales and services.

 

Liquid Robotics, an ocean data service provider and developer of the Wave Glider, the first wave powered autonomous marine robot, has announced Gary Gysin has joined the Company as executive vice president of global sales and services. In this position, Gary will build upon the worldwide momentum for Wave Glider® data services to scale the business for the next phase of expansion and growth. Gary will report directly to Bill Vass, chief executive officer of Liquid Robotics. His appointment is effective immediately.

 


Gary brings to Liquid Robotics over two decades of extensive experience leading public and start-up companies in IT communications, network and infrastructure systems involving complex hardware, software, and data services solutions. With a track record of transforming start-ups into global businesses, he joins Liquid Robotics at an ideal time when the company is experiencing dramatic growth across all customer segments and expanding the products and services portfolios.

Most recently, Gary was executive vice president of worldwide sales for Silver Spring Networks. Prior to that he was president and CEO of Asempra Technologies, president and CEO of PGSoft, and held executive sales, product and general management roles at McData Corporation, Volera, Crosswise Corporation, WorldTalk and Touch Communications.

 


He holds a B.A. in Economics from University of California Santa Cruz. In his spare time, Gary enjoys spending time with his family and participating in many outdoor activities including mountain biking, skiing, paddle boarding, and now swimming with Wave Gliders.
