ISS Launches new Partner Solution Initiative

June 16, 2016

Inchcape Shipping Services (ISS), the world's leading maritime and logistics service provider, is introducing a new Partner Solutions initiative to develop and deliver added value for customers across the globe.

ISS Partner Solutions will focus on the company acting as a sub-contractor to new and existing agency partners looking to instantly increase their reach and range of services for customers. Built on a solid service delivery foundation and transparent engagement model, ISS Partner Solutions will deliver cost savings to partners and customers through access to ISS’ global office network, technologies and standards.

Headed up by ISS Vice President, Peter B. Nielsen, Partner Solutions will work with ISS’ commercial team and global network to offer streamlined, cost-efficient packages to local and regional agents, initially focused on port agency but expandable to ISS’ full range of services.

Based in Hamburg, Peter has re-joined ISS from his previous role as Regional Manager, Africa, at Danish renewables company FairWind A/S. He will report to Chief Commercial Officer, Neill Tomlin.

With twenty years’ experience in the maritime industry, including the MISE management programme at AP Moller-Maersk in Copenhagen and later Mozambique, Sierra Leone and Liberia, Peter has held a number of senior management positions across Africa, supporting NileDutch & liner agencies for MSC.

His career also includes offshore exploration logistics in West Africa for Maersk Drilling, Ocean Rig and ExxonMobil. Peter also worked as an Interim VP Operations for ISS Africa, based in Mombasa.

Said Peter on his appointment to drive ISS’ Partner Solutions:  “The opportunity to build this sector will enable us to really zero in on our partners’ focus areas and key interests to provide tailored cost-saving packages to meet their exact needs.”

Adds Chief Commercial Officer, ISS Neill Tomlin:  “Peter’s addition to the commercial team provides us with hands-on expertise to engage and maximise value to our existing partners and help expand the network.”
