Jorgensen Named GAC UK Managing Director

October 3, 2014

Herman Jorgensen, formerly General Manager at GAC Norway, has been appointed GAC UK's Managing Director. He is based at the company’s Grangemouth office, working alongside the company's Finance and Human Resources functions.

Ivo Verheyen, GAC Group Vice President, Europe, said, "Herman's in-depth knowledge of every aspect of GAC's businesses, combined with his financial qualifications and a solid commitment to fostering the GAC Spirit, make him ideal for the role. He is focused on strategies for growth that will strengthen GAC UK's position as economic conditions - locally and globally - continue to improve and to support GAC's clients as they hone their own strategies for the future."

Peter Cole, former Managing Director of GAC UK, assumes the role of Director, Risk Management, focusing on risk assessments, compliance, ethics, HSSE, conformity with Customs and Excise procedures, contract review and insurance matters. The creation of this role, Verheyen said, reflects the critical importance of risk management for GAC and its customers, as well as Cole's vast experience in these areas.
