IRClass Announces New Appointments

Indian Register of Shipping (IRClass) has announced three new senior appointments aimed at boosting its presence in key international maritime centers.



The new appointments in Singapore and London are part of IRClass’ strategic plan to expand its capabilities and geographical reach to meet growing demand in these vital markets.



Mr. Narayanan Shankar joins as Senior Vice President of Business Development in Singapore. He will co-direct business development and strategy with Mr Anil Devli, Chief Operating Officer (Commercial) of IRClass. Prior to joining IRClass, Mr Shankar held key leadership roles in international ship management, ships agency and logistics companies.



Mr. Praveen Kumar Mishra has been appointed as Vice President of IRClass in London. He is also the member of the Statutory Panel (Environment) of International Association of Classification Society (IACS) and the Chairman of the Ballast Water Management working group of the Association of Asian Classification Societies.



Mr. Ravi Kiron Kalra has been promoted to Head of Safety from his previous role as Senior Principal Surveyor in IRClass based in Mumbai. Having served IRClass for 35 years, he has vast experience in leading vessel surveys and inspections all over the world.



These new appointments boost IRClass’ technical and management capabilities significantly, allowing the society to offer a more diverse range of auditing and compliance solutions to its clients.
