INMARCO INAvation 2014 Opens on 11th December

INMARCO INAvation 2014, the International Maritime Technology Conference & Exhibition on “Innovations for Maritime Sustainability” is being held at the “National Centre for the Performing Arts” (NCPA) in South Mumbai from 11th to 13th December 2014. Event is jointly organised by the Institute of Marine Engineers India (IMEI) Mumbai Branch and the Institution of Naval Architects (INA), the two of the biggest Maritime Professional bodies in India.

This event is held every 4 years, bringing in the Speakers, Exhibitors & other Stakeholders from the maritime field worldwide to a forum targeted towards development of maritime & ancillary sector in India. This time, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has joined hands with IME & INA to co-host the event, particularly the Exhibition part, which is named as “Shipping & Maritime Expo 2014”.

The Hon’ble Minister for Road Transport, Highways, Shipping, Govt of India, Shri Nitin Gadkari will be the Chief Guest for the inaugural evening programme on 11th December 2014.

Admiral R.K. Dhowan, PVSM AVSM YSM ADC, Chief of Naval Staff, Indian Navy will be the Chief Guest for the inaugural morning session on 11th December 2014 at NCPA.

Experts and Leaders in their field will deliberate on various technical topics including Shipbuilding, Shipping, Ancillaries, Development, Safety & Security, Training & Manpower, etc. during these 3 days, alongside several other renowned speakers talking on various important subjects like Insurance, Chartering, Claims, Commercial Aspects and Maritime Law.

The Delegates from the Manufacturers, Operators and others from Maritime & Allied Sector will participate and interact with the speakers during the deliberations lasting these 3 days, which will culminate into a panel discussion in the valedictory session on 13th December afternoon. The recommendations arising out of the deliberations and interactions will be collated and sent to the Government of India and also to the various Professional Institutions, for taking it forward towards all round development of the Maritime Sector in India. The Exhibition Segment is open to general public at NCPA ground.
