New Regional Director Sytze Voulon appointed for Imtech Marine North West Europe.

As per February 20, 2012 Imtech Marine has appointed Mr. Sytze Voulon to the position of Regional Director North West Europe (Rotterdam).  Mr. Voulon (47) has held several senior management positions in the international maritime industry. He started, after his studies of maritime business at the HTS in Rotterdam, at Mobil Oil in The Netherlands. After Mobil Oil he worked for amongst others Stork, Lips and Rolls-Royce. From 2001, Mr. Voulon worked for Rolls-Royce and held several senior management positions, the most recent being Regional Director - Marine Europe till 2008 and Regional Director Marine Europe & Africa / Vice President Services Europe & Africa.

The appointment of Mr. Sytze Voulon is a further important step in realizing the global ambitions of Imtech Marine and more specifically in the North Western European region. In January 2010, Imtech Marine (the marine division of technical services provider Imtech) announced its new 2011 - 2015 growth strategy. Growth will be achieved by organic growth and by means of acquisitions. Imtech Marine’s strategy to grow is based on a number of strategic priorities, including life cycle partnership with its customers worldwide; strengthening the global organization and service network, and innovation through green technology and integrated ship automation.  Imtech Marine has set several major steps in growth towards 2015 for example by opening offices in China, Spain, France and Morocco, concluding the acquisition of the Canadian company Techsol and supplying several green ship and automation solutions to projects, for example the hybrid propulsion systems to the world’s first seagoing low emissions hybrid ferries in Scotland. Imtech Marine also recently concluded the special vessel projects Borealis, Rockpiper and Flintstone at the Sembawang yard in Singapore, including the installation and engineering of various integrated automation systems on board.
