W&O, a global supplier to the marine and marine offshore markets for pipe, valves and fittings, valve automation and engineered solutions, announced the expansion of its Engineered Solutions team. John Catanzaro and Marc Lagattuta have joined W&O to provide its customers and OEM partners with an exceptional level of service as the company further develops its Engineered Solutions portfolio.

“W&O is continually evolving, and part of that evolution is reflected in our expanded offerings of technologically advanced product lines and solutions. We are partnering with OEMs in a continuing effort to be on the leading edge of industry technology and regulations,” said Michael Hume, president and CEO of W&O. “John and Marc’s expertise, hands-on approach and shipboard knowledge will allow W&O to provide our customers with the highest level of service in the industry.”

John Catanzaro joins W&O as a service engineer to provide on-site support for actuation, Hyde Ballast Water Treatment Systems (BWTS), and PG Marine products. Catanzaro spent 27 years in the United States Coast Guard serving as a chief engineer and senior marine inspector. He also worked at Austal USA as a senior test engineer for two different classes of U.S. Navy vessels.

Catanzaro has received training from A-T Controls, W&O’s sister company, on pneumatic and electric actuation product lines, in addition to becoming an authorized service representative for both Hyde BWTS and PG Marine. Catanzaro’s extensive knowledge of vessel operating systems as well as his in-depth understanding and comprehension of USCG regulations make him a valuable asset to W&O and its customers.

Marc Lagattuta joins the W&O team as a project manager for BWTS and Offshore Supply Vessels (OSVs). He previously worked for Tidewater Marine, where he spent the last eight years as a project manager focusing on new construction and ensuring vessels met regulatory compliance.

At W&O Lagattuta will be responsible for leading the Hyde Ballast Water Treatment and PG Marine OSV equipment projects, assisting with equipment sales, and serving as an OSV expert for the W&O sales team.
