May 4, 2012

The Victoria Advanced Technology Council (VIATeC) in Victoria, British Columbia has nominated Edoc Systems Group’s CEO and Founder, Ron deBruyne, for the prestigious Executive of the Year award. Edoc develops Helm Marine Operations software for the workboat industry.

“I am honored to receive this nomination,” said deBruyne. “It’s extremely rewarding to have our company recognized in such a way.”  deBruyne was nominated on the basis of Edoc’s contribution to the technology community in Victoria, revenue growth, corporate leadership, culture and innovation. “We’ve worked very hard over the last 13 years to make our company a great place to work,” said deBruyne. “A nomination like this is not recognition for me, but for all of the fantastic people and the incredible work done at Edoc.”

This year VIATeC received an overwhelming amount of nominations for their Technology Awards, which will take place on May 31, 2012. "We look forward to another exciting night of recognition and networking. We are proud that so many look forward to this event and honored to play a role in highlighting the people, companies and innovations that make technology Victoria's largest revenue producing industry,” explains Dan Gunn, Executive Director of VIATeC.
