Daily Maersk Extends Promise to Indonesia, Thailand

October 9, 2012

Maersk Line is extending its total container ship transportation time promise to six more routes: from Jakarta (Indonesia) or Laem Chabang (Thailand).

The routes are to Bremerhaven (Germany), Rotterdam (The Netherlands) or Felixstowe (UK). (Bookings for this service will commence 8th October 2012).

With gate-in any day of the week and two weekly cut-offs, Maersk Line are promising to transport goods on these routes in 31 days. The clock starts at cut-off and stops when goods are available at the final container yard. The promise is absolute, backed with the same monetary guarantees offered on Daily Maersk.

It has been a year since Maersk Line introduced Daily Maersk. Vincent Clerc, Maersk Line’s Chief Trade and Marketing Officer, said:
“When we launched Daily Maersk, we were trying to implement a new service standard that our customers could expect to get from us. We wondered at times during the development if we’d bitten off more than we could chew. Fortunately our hard work seems to have paid off, a year on we are achieving 98% reliability and feedback from customers is positive. So, we’ve taken everything we’ve learnt from Daily Maersk and we’ve decided to extend the Daily Maersk promise to our customers on these additional routes.”
