CH2M HILL (www.ch2mhill.com), a global full-service consulting, design, construction, and operations firm, announces two key leadership appointments in the Northeast.  With the 2011 acquisitions of Halcrow and Booz Allen Hamilton’s (BAH) State and Local Transit Consulting business, CH2M HILL has five times more people-power and expert capabilities to service the New York transportation infrastructure market and the entire Northeast region, stretching from Maine to Virginia.


To support the firm’s growth plans, Thomas P. Klin, has been promoted to Vice President and Northeast Geographic Manager.  Klin most recently led the CH2M HILL integration of the Halcrow acquisition in North America.  Prior to this assignment, he served as CH2M HILL’s Transportation Operations Director for Latin America.  Klin has been with CH2M HILL for nine years and originally joined the firm to serve as Director of Aviation Environmental Services.  He also brings an additional 13 years of experience as a state regulator in coastal management, and as an environmental planning consultant for transportation projects.


In addition, Patrick King has been named Vice President and Director of CH2M HILL’s No. 2 ranked (Engineering News-Record) Ports and Maritime business. Previously, King was a member of the Halcrow Maritime Global Management Team and the Technical Director for the organization’s Engineering Divers Group.  He brings more than 20 years of experience managing a wide variety of inspection, design and construction projects, including bulk and container marine terminals, coastal and urban waterfront structures, oil and gas marine transfer facilities, dams and bridges.  


Klin and King are based out of CH2M HILL’s New York City office which has close to 200 employees with special expertise in the areas of aviation, ports and maritime, structural engineering, transit and rail, highways, bridges, tunneling and intelligent transportation systems.  The firm also has offices in Baltimore, Boston, Chantilly, Newport News, Parsippany, Philadelphia, Richmond, Silver Springs, Virginia Beach, and Washington, D.C.
