Severn Trent De Nora, a leader in electrochlorination technology appoint Delmar Marine as its exclusive sales representative in Turkey.

Severn Trent De Nora, a leading provider of electrolytic water disinfection solutions, has appointed Delmar Marine as its exclusive sales representative in Turkey for the Type-Approved BALPURE® ballast water treatment system and MARINER OMNIPURE® marine sewage treatment system product lines. As a leading commercial marine company headquartered in Istanbul, Turkey, Delmar provides services to the Turkish shipping and yachting industry including ship design, ship construction and operation, shipbuilding methods and management, marine engineering systems, high-quality equipment and system supplies.

“Turkey has an active shipbuilding industry with high demand for ballast water treatment solutions like our BALPURE system,” said Jim McGillivray, who recently assumed the role of BALPURE sales director for Severn Trent De Nora. “Teaming up with Delmar Marine enables us to penetrate the Turkish market and position BALPURE as the preferred solution for treating ballast water. Delmar is passionate about the shipbuilding market and understands its needs. This partnership helps to solidify the expansion of our global sales and support network, which is crucial with the Ballast Water Convention close to full ratification. Since the launch of BALPURE in July 2011, 18 units have been sold with more under negotiation.”

Delmar Marine will promote Severn Trent De Nora’s BALPURE and MARINER OMNIPURE systems at the EUROPORT ISTANBUL 12th International Maritime Exhibition taking place 20 – 23 March 2013 in Istanbul, Turkey (booth A270, hall 9).
