Bisso Marine, a provider of energy and maritime support services, announced that Taylor King is the winner of the annual Bisso Marine Safety Award Drawing. King was selected from a pool of 220 eligible employees.

To be eligible for the drawing, an employee must be employed by the company for the entire calendar year without having had an accident, safety infraction, negative performance review or disciplinary write-up. King was given the choice of selecting a Mako 1901 bay boat, a Nitro Z-7 bass boat or a Toyota Tundra double cab pickup truck.

King, a crane operator on the D/B Bisso 350, has been a valuable member of the Bisso Marine team since 2006.

“I am extremely proud to present this award to Taylor and am equally proud of all Bisso Marine employees,” said President and CEO W.A. “Beau” Bisso IV. “As a company, Bisso Marine has worked very hard to continue raising the safety standards and expectations bar.”

That hard work resulted in a 58 percent reduction in Bisso Marine’s 2009 Total Recordable Incident Rate. The TRIR in 2008 was 1.17 and was reduced to 0.494 in 2009.
