Baker, Lyman & Co. announced their long anticipated pre-release of CORSAIR TVR Software with interactive product demonstrations held at the USCG Sub-Chapter M Public Hearing in New Orleans yesterday.
The USCG and AWO have sought scalable & affordable solutions for the proposed Sub-Chapter M rules and CORSAIR TVR is Baker Lyman's version of an electronic Towing Vessel Record which meets or exceeds safety, assessment, inspection, and training recordkeeping & documentation requirements. Baker Lyman is the exclusive distributor of CORSAIR Fleet Management Software (FMS) which is due for full release at the 2011 Workboat Show; CORSAIR TVR is a fully intergrated module of CORSAIR FMS.

The final CORSAIR FMS can be interfaced with existing onboard navigation, barging, operational, & fiscal software protocols which in turn allow for powerful reporting & regulatory tracking features. The product is now in BETA phase and Baker Lyman has a long pre-order list for CORSAIR. With so many tow companies vying for resources to support the proposed Towing Safety Management System initiative Baker Lyman has hired new staff, expanded product lines, and increased the scope of services to meet the demand. Nowhere is that more evident then BL's IT Department which now boasts numerous project managers, software developers, and quality control experts who are all seasoned marine professionals.
