Rio Controls & Hydraulics (RCH), a subsidiary of Rio Marine, based in Houston, Texas has acquired the assets of Jenkins Hydraulic, Inc. of Houston.

RCH currently offers steering, alarm, and propulsion control systems to the marine industry.  With this acquisition RCH sought to enhance its ability to offer hydraulic installations, repairs and services to the marine industry coupled with Rio Marine’s over 100+ technicians supporting electrical installation, repair and service.

RCH has developed a patent pending steering system that provides quick steering calibration and sensor technology that is submersible and is engineered to last more than 50x longer than conventional steering potentiometers.  Currently the system is installed on over 10 vessels.

RCH also provides alarm and propulsion control systems utilizing the latest technology for easy customer interface.  The addition of Jenkins Hydraulics allows RCH to be the front line provider for hydraulic repair and service as well as supplementing RCH’s abilities as a hydraulic fabricator, repair facility and service organization.
