Delta Carbon Yachts has unveiled two new models in its series of carbon fiber production yachts at the Palm Beach International Boat Show. The 55 Open (pictured) and 54 Tuna concepts are variations on existing Delta Powerboats series that implement all carbon fiber construction and requested owner/operator features.

A blend between Delta Powerboats’ popular open dayboat series and the award-winning 54 Carbon Cruiser yacht, the 55 Open concept is designed as an efficient, stylish and seaworthy day cruiser. The 55-footer is powered by triple Volvo IPS drives which, when combined with her superior hull design and vacuum infused carbon fiber/divinycell/vinylester construction, allow her to achieve an impressive 40-knot maximum speed while maximizing fuel consumption. Three ensuite cabins, a large open deck and fully equipped galley area round out the 55’s Scandinavian designed and impeccably finished interior. Seakeeper’s zero speed gyroscopic stabilization is among the many upgrade options available on this semi-custom boat.

Designed for the avid sportfisherman who appreciates performance and style yet does not want to compromise on luxury and comfort, the 54 Tuna is a new concept based on the award-winning 54 Carbon Cruiser. Specified to her owner’s preferences, the 54 Tuna is spec’d similar to the 54 Carbon, powered by triple Volvo IPS drives and featuring three ensuite cabins, a large salon graced with plentiful windows and fully equipped galley area. The multipurpose aft deck features a convertible table and seating, and is fully equipped to accommodate a day of fishing and an evening of al fresco dining. A flybridge version is also available.

Chapman Ducote, Delta Carbon Yachts’ Director of the Americas says  “The 54 Tuna will provide avid sportsfisherman with the best on-water fishing experience, as it offers the very best in sportsfisher amenities on a platform never before seen in this arena – 100% carbon fiber, excellent fuel economy and superior interior accommodations. The 55 Open is simply the most elegant dayboat on the water, with a flexible layout that accommodates everything from entertaining to sunbathing.”

The Delta 26 Open, 33 Open and 54 Carbon are available for sea trials in Miami Beach.
