Wilhelmsen Sponsors Training Academy

January 18, 2010

helmsen Ships Service is supporting the work of the Nautical Technical Training Academy (NTTA) by providing a range of the company’s Unitor branded safety equipment including a brand new liferaft. The liferaft will be used in the academy’s crew training facility to teach the Basic Safety course.

The NTTA, based in Groningen, Northern Holland, trains ships’ crew in the use of safety appliances, to benefit them in their future careers.

The new liferaft is a welcome replacement for a tired second hand liferaft which has been extensively used for training over the last couple of years.

Wilhelmsen Ships Service has previously instructed the college to enable them to obtain the Flag State Audits Certificate (IVW), as well as partnering the Four Gasses test course that is offered.
