Sunseeker 28 metre superyacht scoops 'Best Custom Yacht' title at the Motor Boat of the Year Awards 2013 in London.

The stunning Sunseeker 28 m yacht beat off competition from some of the world's finest manufacturers from across the world, including Princess, Arcadia and Ferretti.

The 28 Metre, which launched in January 2012, uses ultra-modern materials to reach new heights in design and engineering excellence.  Its revolutionary use of space incorporates full height and wrap-around glazing to create a stunning effect both inside and out.

The judging panel, from the editorial team at Motor Boats Monthly and Motor Boat & Yachting magazines commented: "The Sunseeker 28 Metre Yacht combines dramatic new looks with high-tech materials, strong performance, eye catching features and great liveability...and for the first time ever it's British."

Robert Braithwaite, Group President of Sunseeker International said: "We are delighted that the 28 Metre Yacht has been recognised with such a prestigious award.  It is testament to the passion, talent and hard-work of the Sunseeker team who put so much into every yacht we make."

The 28 Metre Yacht's spectacular use of space incorporates a vast saloon in the centre of the yacht, with a range of cabin plans to accommodate up to eight guests and four crew.  And with a maximum speed of up to 29 yachts, and a range of 400 nautical miles, the stunning yacht delivers Sunseeker's famous 'wind in the hair' performance.

This motor yacht was also nominated alongside the all-new Portofino 40 in the Best Sports Cruiser category.
