Drew Marine USA, Inc. announced the appointment of Walter Sobon as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Sobon will be responsible for all finance and treasury functions, information systems and financial strategic planning.
Sobon joins Drew Marine from Constar International Inc., an $800m publicly traded manufacturer of plastic containers, where he was CFO. Prior to Constar, Sobon was CFO for VWR International, a $2.8b provider of chemicals, equipment and services. Earlier in his career, Sobon held senior financial management positions in several industries including technology and consumer products manufacturing. He began his career with six years at Price Waterhouse.
Sobon is a licensed Certified Public Accountant and holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a major in Accounting from Pace University. He will be based at Drew Marine’s corporate headquarters in New Jersey and will report directly to Gelosa.
