May 8, 2016

The Coast Guard, Trenton Fire Dept. and New Jersey State Police Dept. are searching Saturday for a missing jet skier near the Trenton boat ramp.

Missing is Jesus Diaz Melendez, 26, of Trenton, New Jersey.

The crew of the vessel A.J. Meerwald came upon a jet skier who stated he and Melendez ran aground on the jet ski, which ejected both of them. Melendez couldn't be located after the incident.

If anyone knows or has seen Mr. Melendez, or has any additional information that may assist the search effort, they are asked to contact the Coast Guard Sector Delaware Bay command center at 215-271-4940215-271-4940 FREE or on VHF-FM marine radio channel 16.
