PD Ports Container Handling Milestone

December 9, 2009

In November, PD Ports reached a major new milestone.  For the first time Teesport handled over 100,000 containers in a year.  This is the highest volume of containers ever recorded at Teesport on the North East coast in any calendar year.  Frans Calje, PD Ports’ managing director, unitised, said “We are delighted that in these difficult economic times our efforts have clearly out-performed the market.  We are really proud of what has been achieved at Teesport this year.  We expect to reach this benchmark earlier each year as we move forward.”
