Piracy - ONI Latest Worldwide Report

The Office of Naval Intelligence has issued its latest 'Worldwide Threat to Shipping' report for period 1, to 30 May 2012

This section contains summaries of worldwide maritime crime developments and incidents that occurred over the past week.

Details on each development and incident are contained elsewhere in the report – see link at end of this article.

ALGERIA: Bulk carrier was boarded on 29 May while berthed at the Port of Alger. 

KENYA: Chemical tanker boarded on 24 May at Berth No. 8, Mombasa Port.

PHILIPPINES: Tug boat boarded on 17 May at Talicud Island, Philippines.

ECUADOR: Container ship boarded on 27 May while berthed at the Contecon Guayaquil Terminal.

EGYPT: Bulk carrier boarded on 25 May while at anchor at El Dekheila Outer Anchorage. 

BANGLADESH: Tanker boarded on 22 May while at anchor 3.9 nm northwest of Patenga Point Light.
