According to a press release, the order was booked in Cargotec's 2019 Q1 order intake, with delivery of the machines to take place during Q3 of 2019.

Located in the Big port of St. Petersburg, Russia, CTSP specialises in handling all types of containerised cargo at its modern facilities, which include an automated control system that enables high-speed container handling on ship, road and rail transport alike.

The terminal has seen significant growth in demand in recent years, with a 12% increase in throughput in 2018 compared to the previous year. CTSP already operates a fleet of more than 50 Kalmar machines, including terminal tractors, reachstackers, forklifts and empty container handlers.

The terminal tractors are used to transport containers from the waterside to the warehouse and back, as well as to move the import containers to the customs clearance area.

Kalmar's pioneering i-model terminal tractors offer robust reliability and excellent performance when moving heavy loads in harsh port conditions. They are trusted by customers around the world in a variety of different applications, including RoRo handling, container handling and industrial handling operations. These machines feature a wide variety of innovations based on extensive studies carried out in cooperation with drivers and specialists in ergonomics to ensure better visibility and performance, easier maintenance and increased driver comfort.

Alexander Scherbinin, Managing Director, CTSP (CJSC): "Due to its high maneuverability, ease of operation and ergonomic cabin, Kalmar equipment allows to keep the handling of containers at a high level. Throughout the existence of the terminal, Kalmar equipment has proven itself from the best side. It is a reliable, easy-to-maintain equipment."

Valerian Sand, Vice President Market Area North Europe, Kalmar: "Our relationship with CTSP has been a long and fruitful one, so we are pleased to continue the cooperation with this new terminal tractor order.
