CMA CGM Opens Logistics Storehouse in Lebanon

 

With a total area of 20,000 m2, the logistics storehouse allows the storage of 1,000 empty containers (TEUs). This logistics solution also facilitates the recovery of empty containers, thus reducing costs and saving considerable time, CMA CGM said

 

Located 50 km from the port of Beirut and 124 km from the port of Tripoli, the logistics storehouse of Taanayel of the CMA CGM Group is also at the crossroads of the Lebanese coast and Damascus (in Syria) on one of the most important trade routes in the Middle-East.

 

This location in the Bekaa valley is strategic for the import and export of fruit and vegetables as well as for other products for Arab countries including Jordan, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

 

CMA CGM’s Beirut office employs close to 200 people, maintains a strong relationship with Lebanon and wishes to continue to support its economic development.
