Offshore Rental Company to Expand

September 6, 2011

The Ferguson Group, specialists in the rental of containers, accommodation modules and engineering modules to the offshore energy industry around the world, is expanding its international presence in response to customer demand for its products.
Over the coming months, a new base will open in Dubai, while the Ferguson Group’s teams in Norway and Australia will move into larger premises in Stavanger and Perth, respectively.
The Ferguson Group announced the news today at Offshore Europe in Aberdeen, where it is exhibiting.
Steven Ferguson, Managing Director of the Ferguson Group, said: “Offshore Europe offers an unrivalled opportunity to promote our business, meet with existing clients and develop potential connections for future projects. We have had a successful year with international work accounting for 75% of our business and we aim to continue to expand upon that in future. Our new bases in the Middle East, Norway and Australia are part of a three-year £75million investment package in the Group’s businesses.
“Our main focus will continue to be the provision of a wide range of containers, engineering modules and accommodation modules at the key logistics hubs that we operate from around the world. At present, our asset rental fleet exceeds 14,000 units with a replacement value in excess of £150million making us one of the biggest global suppliers and able to respond quickly to the demands of clients – wherever they might be located and however many units they need. We will continue to invest in increasing our fleet of high-quality A60 DNV 2.7-1 units to ensure we continue to have the global infrastructure in place to support the worldwide operations of operators and major service companies.’’
He added: “We look forward to welcoming clients and guests to our main stand 2E132, where they will have the opportunity to have an informal conversation with our team over coffee.  We also have an outdoor stand, X40, on which we are displaying a range of Ferguson Group products to give visitors a chance to experience first-hand the quality of product we offer. The outdoor stand display includes a 3metre dry good container, the 100,000th unit to be certified by DNV. Ferguson Group has held seminars in partnership with DNV at locations around the globe and we believe it is in the best interests of the industry that all offshore containers and accommodation units reach or exceed DNV standards of safety and we will continue to work along with them to achieve this."
