O'Neill Joins Thuraya Board

Stephen O'Neill has been appointed to Thuraya Telecommunications Company’s Board of Directors as of March 31. Until 2014, O'Neill was President of Boeing Satellite Systems International Inc (BSSI) and Vice President of Commercial Satellite Systems for Space and Intelligence Systems (S&IS) within Boeing Defense, Space & Security. 
 
O'Neill has 37 years of experience in the aerospace industry, principally involved in satellite and launch vehicle programs. His expertise ranges across engineering, manufacturing, supplier management, business management, business development and program management. Steve served for many years as a pilot in the American Air Force.
 
With Thuraya having completed an impressive turnaround program over the last four years, O'Neill will strengthen Thuraya's strategic planning as it looks to developing unique and innovative next-generation capability with global reach, the company said.
