ABS Nautical Systems Inks Contracts in Greece

March 6, 2012

ABS Nautical Systems has signed two new contracts in Greece with Millenia Maritime Inc. and TMS Tankers Ltd.  Both companies will benefit from the ABS Newbuild Program which offers free software to ABS-classed vessels built after 1 January 2009.

  • Millenia Martime Inc. will be installing the Hull Inspection and Maintenance & Repair modules from the NS5 Enterprise software suite on nine of its ABS-classed chemical carriers as a way to test a potentially more user-friendly system.  These modules provide the ability to track the condition of a vessel’s structure throughout its service life and allow operators to generate a preventive maintenance plan that is easy for the crew on board to use on a daily basis.

  • TMS Tankers Ltd. was looking for a way to improve the information they provide to their crews, as well as a more efficient way to generate reports for better analysis.  They will utilize the Hull Inspection module on 37 of its ABS-classed vessels, which will enhance their ability to manage vessel maintenance and repair.
