Ince & Co. partner Jonathan Elvey, who was head of the law firm's Piraeus office, has returned to the London office after spending 17 years advising clients at the heart of the Greek shipping market as head of the Piraeus office.
Partner Nick Shepherd, who spent five years in Greece in the 1990s and returned to Piraeus in 2010, takes on the role of head of the office.
Ince inform that In 2013 their Piraeus office celebrated its 20th anniversary, having grown in size over time to 35 people. It includes a dry shipping and admiralty practice led by Jon, Nick and Antonis Lagadianos; a ship and asset finance practice led by Robin Parry; and a Greek law practice led by George Iatridis.
Jon Elvey commented:
“I have been privileged to call Greece my home for so many years. It is a magical country full of wonderful people, among whom I am lucky to count many good friends. For family reasons, I am moving back to England at this time, and I am relocating to our London office. Though it is a huge wrench for me to leave Piraeus, I will be returning regularly. My practice will continue to focus on the Greek shipping market and I will be in communication daily with my clients.”
Nick Shepherd, who has taken over, said:
