Marine Engines Supplier Drives Growth

Marine engine controls, wiring harnesses and electrical management systems’ manufacturer CMR Group is gearing up for growth with several senior management appointments across its global operations.
 


Didier Briand comes in as the new international commercial manager at CMR France’s Marseille-based operation with a brief to drive sales, growth and expansion across the company’s range of industrial, power generation and marine products and services.
 


He brings a wealth of commercial experience and expertise to the new post and will play an important role in reinforcing CMR France’s position as a key driver in the European electrical management systems market as well as within the Group’s wider global activities where it has strategic operations in North America, China and India.
 


A new managing director has been appointed to head up CMR Tunisia. Lassaad Ketata, who has extensive industrial and commercial experience including spells with PSA Peugeot-Citroen Group, will oversee the Sidi Rezig-based managerial team as it looks to secure further growth through increased sales and improved levels of customer service.  
 


Ian Hamilton joins as UK sales manager based at the company’s Newcastle-upon-Tyne operation and comes in as part of the CMR Group’s strategic sales and diversification plan. He brings over 25 years’ experience to the role and will be a key part of the UK business development team.



Elsewhere, CMR US has boosted its operations in Leetsdale, Pennsylvania with the appointment of a new production manager. Larry Alway will be working with the production team, as well as the continual improvement, quality and materials group, as the business ramps up manufacturing this year to meet strong demand.



CMR Group supplies instrumentation and controls for offshore platforms and vessels, marine, engines and industrial applications around the world. With core product groups including rugged cable systems, controls, custom products, electronics, alarm monitoring and safety systems, industrial sensors, and software the CMR Group is an engineering partner for the world’s leading manufacturers.
