Maersk Line Still the Leading Carrier on Reliability in Q2

August 21, 2014

During the second quarter, the overall industry reliability has improved. However, Maersk Line is pleased to have improved their performance so that they can continue to lead the industry on reliability.

The midyear review of Maersk Line by maritime analyst SeaIntel shows an upward trend for the business and a widening gap between industry players.

An above-industry rating of 86.1% cements the liner’s lead, pushed by Maersk Line’s continued commitment to reliability and customer satisfaction. Fair weather and less port closures for the quarter contributed to the mounting figures.

As the leading liner for Q2, Maersk Line drove the industry gap to 11%, overtaking Hamburg Süd and CSAV with 84.1% and 79.6%, respectively. With an increase in reliability seen across the industry with 13 of the top 20 carriers recording an improvement of at least 5% this gap is something to be proud of.

It is important for us to ensure, that customers base their supply chain on a reliable, efficient and consistent products providing the strongest foundation to them deliver on their promises to their customers.
