Maersk Group Announce Changes in HR Leadership

Senior V-P for Group HR Bill Allen is to leave the A.P. Moller - Maersk Group and return to the USA after seven years in Denmark.

His successor will be Lucien Alziari, who brings a strong track record from major global companies, such as Avon and PepsiCo.

"The past seven years with the Group has been a fantastic experience for me and a great opportunity to work together with really skilled colleagues and different types of businesses around the world," says Bill Allen, who will be leaving Denmark by the end of 2012.

"As Head of Group HR, Bill has created tangible results. He has been a key person in setting our strong executive teams and has implemented a systematic approach to both performance and talent management across the Group," says Group CEO Nils S. Andersen.

Maersk Line will have a new Head of HR – Michael Chivers, a British national – with extensive international experience working for the Sony Group since 1990, most recently within the joint venture Sony Ericsson.
