ONE Launches India-Europe Direct Service

Ocean Network Express (ONE)  announced the launch of a new direct service, the Indian Ocean Service 3 (IO3), which covers South East India, Mediterranean, and North Europe.

The new product will offer new port coverage and boost reliability to a wider range of direct port call options to ONE’s valued customers, the Japanese container shipping company said in a press release.

It will also further expand ONE’s already comprehensive service offerings and allow its clients to enjoy greater choice while bringing efficiency and additional values to the supply chain, the release added.

The first sailing of the loop is now expected to start from 26th October 2019.

The Indian Ocean Service 3 (IO3) has following rotation: Visakhapatnam – Krishnapatnam – Chennai – Tuticorin – Colombo – Cochin –Damietta – Piraeus – Rotterdam – London Gateway – Hamburg – Antwerp – Le Havre –Damietta – Jeddah – Colombo – Visakhapatnam (Fixed day weekly service, 63-day rotation)

The service named South-East India – Europe Express (IEX) by ONE's alliance partner Hapag-Lloyd will operate between India, the Middle East (Jeddah and Damietta) and Europe -Piraeus, Le Havre, Antwerp, Rotterdam, Hamburg and London Gateway.

There will be nine 6,500 teu vessels deployed on the service with Hapag-Lloyd contributing four vessels. The service will commence on 26 October operating on 63-day rotation.

The other partner Yang Ming Marine Transport Corp. (Yang Ming) the new service, East India and North Europe Express (IEX).

Given the market demand between Europe and South Asia and in order to meet customer requirements worldwide, Yang Ming pledges to continue enhancing its global service network and providing customers with more reliable and comprehensive delivery services, it said.
