August 8, 2019

Konecranes has started to deliver a fleet of Konecranes Noell straddle carriers to APMT Barcelona in Spain. Twenty-nine diesel-electric Konecranes Noell Straddle Carriers, all equipped with the Konecranes Noell twin-lift spreader, will be delivered to APMT Barcelona in two batches.

The delivery times are exceptionally short, considering the size of the order, which was booked in the first quarter.

The first batch of 16 machines were ready for acceptance in June 2019, the second batch will be ready in October 2019. All 29 machines will be Konecranes Noell Straddle Carriers of model NSC 644 E, and they will all be equipped with the Konecranes Noell twin-lift spreader model
NTS 62 F.

The straddle carriers on order have a lifting capacity of 50 tons, lifting containers 1-over-3, with a maximum traveling speed of 24 km/hr. They are all equipped with a PLC system that features the Konecranes Noell Creon-S safety controller, according to DIN EN ISO 13849-1.
