October 25, 2011

Intellian Technologies strengthened its partnership with SpeedCast Limited, a leading satellite telecommunications service provider, for the Commercial Shipping and Offshore Oil and Gas markets. SpeedCast has expanded the reach and capabilities of its global maritime broadband service to address a broader base of end customers. The service now extends across more than 20 Ku-band beams covering nearly all major shipping lanes and offshore regions. The global maritime broadband service is one of the most widely deployed VSAT offerings in the world, and is ideally suited to the advanced Intellian antenna technology. With Intellian recently selected as one of SpeedCast’s preferred suppliers, the companies are now offering flexible and extremely cost-effective, broadband packages benefiting from Intellian’s wide range of high-quality robust, low maintenance antennas and SpeedCast’s wide range of broadband plans and global coverage. Nick Dukakis, Vice President of SpeedCast’s Maritime and Offshore Services, commented: “Broadband connectivity has become a key element in the successful operations of the maritime and offshore industries. SpeedCast is committed to offering outstanding service, providing these industries with complete reliability, which means we only partner with companies that share our vision and passion for the highest standards of quality and service. We are very pleased to be working with Intellian, which has developed a wide range of high-quality marine VSAT antennas of exceptional technical ability, which in turn allow us to deliver a ‘best-in-class’ broadband communications service to an even greater range of shipping and offshore customers.”
