Company to Share Seamless Integration of Ballast Water Treatment System (BWTS); Experience in Retrofits for Small Footprint Installations at Nor-Shipping Maritime Environmental & Efficiency Management Seminar

Hyde Marine, Inc., announced it will attend Nor-Shipping 2015, June 2-5, held at the Norges Varemesse in Oslo, Norway. The marine technology company will present at BIMCO'S Driving Maritime Environmental & Efficiency Management Seminar, June 2.

Mark Riggio, product manager, Hyde Marine, will participate during the seminar's Technology Provider Panel and will give a short presentation on how Hyde Marine is using the company's extensive retrofit experience to address concerns about making Ballast Water Treatment System (BWTS) installation and operation seamless for the ship owner and operator.

BIMCO’s seminar at Nor-Shipping, in association with Class NK and hosted with Fathom Maritime Intelligence, will provide guidance to ship owners and operators who are hoping to improve the environmental performance and efficiency of their ships.

The Hyde GUARDIAN Gold BWTS, which also will be featured at the PG Marine Group stand, is suited for retrofits as it provides the compact size required by ship owners and operators. Hyde GUARDIAN Gold delivers construction and technological specifications to meet BWT regulations, and is suited for vessel applications that have short runs, operate in multiple salinities or require quick turnarounds, the manufacturer said

Hyde GUARDIAN Gold system provides a safe, efficient solution to meet ballasting needs without interfering with vessel operations or requiring extra crew time.

The chemical free Hyde GUARDIAN treatment process uses filtration and ultraviolet disinfection, scaled according to required capacity, to treat ships' ballast water to prevent the spread of invasive species from port to port. The International Maritime Organization (IMO) Type Approved system offers a compact, modular design, with low power consumption, low-pressure drop, and simple, fully automatic operation.
