Hamburg Süd Opens Office in Nanjing

On August 1, Hamburg Süd will open an office in Nanjing, China, to be headed by general manager Steven Pu. Hamburg Süd now operates from 20 locations in Greater China.

All tasks previously carried out by the Ben Line agency will be taken over by the new Hamburg Süd office. This includes daily operations, as well as sales, customer order management and container and intermodal activities. Services to and from Nanjing will be operated using feeder ships from the ports of Shanghai and Ningbo. The new Nanjing office will be responsible for all Hamburg Süd operations in the Yangtze area, the ports of Chongqing and Wuhan and also Lianyungang.
