Fleet Advantage CEO Finalist for Entrepreneur Award

May 30, 2011

Ernst & Young LLP has announced that Fleet Advantage's CEO John Flynn is a finalist in the "Emerging" category of the company's awards competition, Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2011.  The program recognizes entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence and extraordinary success in such areas as innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities.

According to Ernst & Young, Flynn was selected as a finalist from nearly 100 nominations by a panel of independent judges.  Florida award recipients will be announced Thursday, June 16 at the Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate.

"Our goal is to help private fleet operators of Class 8 trucks achieve a competitive advantage and lower overall costs through a continuous improvement model that promotes economic, environmental, and social sustainability," said Flynn.

"With the rising cost of fuel and the focus on our environment, fleet operators are looking for solutions that are both cost effective and environmentally responsible.  Our Clean Air ProgramSM utilizes proprietary lifecycle management tools, real-time data, and new diesel technology to allow fleet operators to implement environmentally-friendly solutions that benefit their employees, their communities, and the environment while saving millions of dollars," added Flynn.

The Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Program celebrates its 25th anniversary this year. The program has expanded to recognize business leaders in more than 140 cities and more than 50 countries throughout the world.

Regional award recipients are eligible for consideration for the Entrepreneur of the Year National Award.  Award recipients in several national categories, as well as the Entrepreneur of the Year overall national award winner, will be announced at an awards program in November.  The awards are the culminating event of the Ernst & Young Strategic Growth Forum®, the nation's most prestigious gathering of high-growth, market-leading companies, which will be held November 9-13, 2011.
