Wireline Engineering has been shortlisted for an Offshore Achievement Award in the Export Achievement category.

The shortlisting recognizes Wireline Engineering’s business growth resulting from successful export activity in the oil and gas and energy sector. The company has targeted new export markets wherever appropriate applications exist and where well owners can benefit from the introduction and use of Wireline Engineering products and services.

Wireline Engineering Chairman Bill Petrie said, “We are delighted to be nominated for this prestigious industry award, it is a testament to the level of dedication and passion from the whole Wireline team.”

The company has adopted a proactive approach to export markets, focusing on both the design of its own range of original products and international expansion, and has established sales offices in the United States, the Far East and the Middle East.

The company specializes in equipment that allows wireline tools to be deployed and operated effectively in deviated and difficult wells. This includes the patented Roller Bogie® family of products and the range of Advanced Kick-Over Tools for Gas Lift, which have significantly transformed the effectiveness of wireline services in deviated wells, and brought huge benefits to well operators around the world.

Petrie continued, “The offshore market in Southeast Asia has been particularly rewarding for us during the last year, and we continue to work hard to increase our global presence.

“To date, our customer base spans almost 60 countries in six continents. We try not to impose territorial boundaries on our international activity but our current strategy has a particular focus on Africa and South America.”

Now it its 29th year, the Offshore Achievement Awards recognises the triumphs from some of the U.K. offshore industry’s strongest talent. Winners will be announced at a prestigious awards ceremony on Thursday, March 12, at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Center.
