LOC Establishes Mumbai Office

November 4, 2014

London Offshore Consultants (LOC) has opened an office in the district of Vile Parle East in Mumbai, India.

Paul Miles, Regional Head of the Middle East, India and Caspian for the LOC Group said, “We have recruited Rohan Murray who is a marine engineer and Captain Valentine Dias as a marine consultant with Mark Lomas and I overseeing the management during the initial stages.  Mark Lomas is the Director of LOC Middle East and India.

Miles added, “LOC has been very active in India for a number of years and we are very optimistic that this office will grow in the current expanding market. Clients have welcomed the prospect of a permanent LOC office in India to service their requirements.”

The opening of the office in Mumbai and the experience of the staff within will also allow LOC to expand its coverage of Hull & Machinery claims within India and complement its established P&I work and Marine Warranty order book, the company said.

The Mumbai office follows on the back of several new office openings by LOC with the previous one opening in April this year in Seoul, South Korea.
