Elcome to Showcase Latest Technology at Dubai Boat Show

March 1, 2016

Elcome International, the leading marine solutions provider and system integrator in the Middle East and one of the largest marine technology companies in the world, will showcase a full array of the latest technologies at the Dubai International Boat Show next week.

Elcome will feature the new Raymarine Quantum Wireless CHIRP marine radar, the industry’s first recreational radar dome featuring pulse compression technology. This advanced system sets a new standard for compact solid-state radar, delivering superior radar imaging on both long and short ranges. Quantum’s CHIRP pulse compression technology uses multiple compressed, radar pulses with FLIR’s exclusive ATX™ advanced target separation technology to display targets like boats, landmarks, rocks, buoys and weather cells with unsurpassed resolution and separation quality versus traditional magnetron radars. In tight quarters Quantum’s CHIRP technology allows identification of targets as close as 18 feet and offshore Quantum delivers exceptional long range imagery and accurate target returns. Quantum’s on-board processing also automatically eliminates rain and sea clutter, blocks interference from other radars, and ensures a noise-free, easy-to-interpret image in congested waterways.

Also making its debut at the Dubai show is the Dragonfly 7 PRO, Raymarine’s most feature-rich sonar/GPS combination yet. Unlike conventional imaging sonars that transmit each pulse at a single frequency, Dragonfly 7 PRO’s DownVision™ sonar uses wide spectrum CHIRP technology to transmit across multiple sonar frequencies simultaneously. As a result, Dragonfly 7 PRO produces higher resolution, photo-like sonar images.

Other products being introduced by Elcome at the boat show include:

  * Böening glass bridge for automation, monitoring and control
  * Hatteland 55-inch 4K UHD chart table multi-vision display system
  * Crewsaver Fusion 3D lifejackets
  * FLIR ONE Personal Thermal Imager for iPhone & Android
  * Vaavud wind meters for iPhone & Android phones
  * Esa Smartwatch
  * GeoSafe GPS alarm and tracker

“Elcome continues to add new products and services to our portfolio, ensuring that we can offer our customers cutting-edge technologies, backed by our unmatched marine service organization,” said Jimmy Grewal, Executive Director of Elcome International. “There are so many exciting new products starting to appear on the market, like Wireless CHIRP radar, GPS sonar and increasingly sophisticated mobile apps for smartphones and tablets. We invite all our friends to visit us at Stand E70 to learn more.”

The Dubai International Boat Show runs March 1-5 at the Dubai International Marine Club. More than 430 superyachts and leisure crafts from across the globe will be on display. The show attracted 28,000 visitors in 2015.
