4th Edition of International Graduate Program

October 7, 2014

Prysmian Group  is launching the Fourth edition of its international program to recruit 40 new graduates in Engineering and Economics, with the aim of helping develop the business's managers and professionals of the future.

The new recruits will be mainly placed in the Research & Development, Manufacturing and Sales functions.

Candidate identification, which started in the past few days and will last until the end of December 2014, involves a structured selection and assessment process both at local and Group level, with the aim of having 40 more young people join the Group during the first quarter of 2015.

After the success of the first three editions, which has seen the recruitment of some 100 graduates from 30 countries (Australia, Brazil, China, Columbia, Denmark, Egypt, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Italy, Lebanon, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Russia, Singapore, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Thailand, Turkey, UK, USA, Venezuela), this year’s program once again offers successful candidates a permanent employment contract, competitive salary, and an initial period of induction and training at the Milan headquarters followed by a 12-month job rotation in their country of origin. This job rotation will allow them to get first-hand experience of production activities and effectively understand the processes, by spending time in direct contact with factory activities, product technologies or the dynamics of customer relationships.

This will be followed by at least 24 months of experience abroad within a specific function, during which their involvement and integration in the organization will make a significant contribution to the business goals. After three years within the program, the aim is to assign junior management roles in the home country or abroad, based on the following criteria: performance appraisals, personal ability, achievements and business needs.

"Prysmian Group continues to look to the future with this program and is confirming in practice that personnel development is at the heart of its business development strategies" says Fabrizio Rutschmann, Group Human Resources & Organization Director. "I think that Build the Future, the name we have given the program, is one of the few projects of this kind in Italy, also because it is designed with an international perspective aiming to potentially attract young people from 5 continents, reflecting the wide geographical reach of our Group's business."

Human resources management is a strategic development factor for Prysmian Group. Talent management and development, like international mobility and training programs, are an important investment for strengthening and developing the Group.
