Cranston Eagle, DBA Eagle Products, has signed an exclusive deal for Delta "T" Systems to become the authorized U.S. agent for Eagle Products' full line of offload marine hooks.
Known around the world for its high quality lifeboat and rescue boat hooks, Eagle Products of Finland has strengthened its position in U.S. military, commercial and pleasure boat markets with this appointment. Their full line of fall mounted, deck mounted and U.S. Coast Guard certified hooks are used extensively by Canadian and U.S. Navies, Coast Guards, research vessels and offshore platforms. Delta "T" Systems is responsible for new product sales, replacement parts and upgrades, as well as testing and recertification of all Eagle Products offload marine hooks. Delta "T" Systems' new load testing equipment, designed and built by Delta "P" Subsea Systems, is capable of pull testing marine hooks and other lifting appliances to loads of up to 50 metric tons.
This new level of support will make it easier than ever for owners of Cranston Eagle hooks to keep their products fully maintained and certified. With Delta "T" Systems located in Riviera Beach, Florida, customers can forego the expense and long lead times previously required when sending hooks to the factory in Finland. To help vessel owners minimize their liability and streamline the testing and recertification process, Delta "T" Systems has established the innovative Hook Me Up program. It centers around Cranston Eagle's mandated hook maintenance and recertification schedule. To keep these offload marine hooks certified, vessel owners must adhere to the maintenance schedule per Cranston Eagle's requirements. Visual and operational inspection of each hook should be performed monthly; every 30 months the lock pin spring and latch spring are to be replaced; and every 60 months the hook must be sent to an authorized service and testing facility for complete inspection, service, load testing and re-certification.
The Delta "T" Systems Hook Me Up program will serve as a notification service for vessel engineers or other responsible parties, to let them know of approaching service dates for their marine hooks. This will ensure that a vessel's lifeboat hooks will always remain within certification and in perfect working order.
