Event for current/former military aims to help veterans transition to maritime industry jobs
 
Hundreds of veterans and active military are expected to attend a Military2Maritime career fair on Monday, June 22, 2015 at the Port Pavilion on Broadway Pier in San Diego.
 
The free event, sponsored by the American Maritime Partnership (AMP) and hosted by the Port of San Diego, is part of a nationwide program to help connect the nation’s servicemen and women with jobs in the American maritime industry.
 
Speaking at the event will be Congressman Duncan D. Hunter (R-Calif.), Chairman of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Subcommittee on Coast Guard and Maritime Transportation and member of the House Armed Services Committee. Previous Military2Maritime events have been held in Norfolk, Va., Jacksonville, Fla., Houston, Texas and New Orleans, La.
