MPC Container Ships Buys 2012-built Box Ship

MPC Container Ships ASA announced Thursday it has agreed to pay $13.86 million to acquire a 1,740 TEU containership built in 2012 at Guangzhou Wenchong Shipyard, China.

The Norwegian based ship owner expects to take delivery of the vessel – to be renamed AS Selina – during the third quarter of 2018, bringing its fleet to 69 vessels.
