Clyde & Co to Open Office in Southern California

June 9, 2014

Clyde & Co announced that it is opening an office in Southern California, headed by Joe Walsh, formerly a partner at Keesal, Young & Logan. Walsh and his team will continue to provide legal services concentrating on the marine and energy markets. The office will be located in Newport Beach, California.

Senior Partner James Burns stated, “Opening an office in Orange County is a further step in our expansion in the United States. Our San Francisco office with fifty attorneys focuses primarily on non-marine insurance, aviation and litigation. Through Joe and the new office we have an ideal opportunity to expand our West Coast offering in the marine and energy markets, two of the firm’s core sectors. Our long heritage in shipping speaks for itself and we look forward to welcoming Joe to our already substantial international marine group.”

In addition to advising clients on general maritime and admiralty law matters, Walsh has developed particular expertise in casualty investigations, crisis management, environmental compliance, and oil and chemical pollution matters.
