Cinterion, Telenor Collaborate

Cinterion Wireless Modules, specialist in cellular machine-to-machine (M2M) communication, and Telenor Connexion announced their collaboration on an M2M tracking and tracing platform for Hitachi construction and mining machinery. The customized solution combines Cinterions HC25 module, a Telenor Connexion SIM card and global wireless service to enable fleet management support such as geo-fencing, positioning, remote eMaintenance, extended warranty support.

To date, the new Hitachi solution has been implemented in more than 20,000 machines, for connectivity in 50 countries including Japan and Korea, with a large number of several hundred thousand additional units planned for the near future.
